Comments included the need to keep customers informed when repairs are delayed by the need for materials.
There was support for the use of local suppliers where possible, providing value for money was still achieved.
Cost Versus Quality
Quality is an important factor in both materials and service.
You agreed with our environmental aims and said that we should be a leader in this.
Communication is very important and we don't always get this right.
We will now use this feedback to help finalise the Procurement Strategy and our measures of success and publish this on our website. Measures will include use of local suppliers and branches to support local employment.
Since the consultation, Connexus has invited contractors to provide a formal offer to do work for Connexus, and confirmation of the price that their company will charge. Based on feedback, we have encouraged local firms to put forward offers to carry out work, as this was important to you.
Some customers have been involved in the process of scoring the contractors against a criteria for customer service, in order to decide which contractors to appoint to our contractors framework.
We continue to seek feedback on when communication breaks down, so that we can learn when things go wrong and make improvements.
